“Esther & Me” - Crew Bios
LISA GEDULDIG (Director, Producer) is a San Francisco-based comedian and comedy producer.
She is the creator, producer, & MC of a variety of annual comedy shows including Kung Pao Kosher Comedy™: Jewish Comedy on Christmas in a Chinese Restaurant; Funny Girlz: A Smorgasbord of Women Comedians; The Color of Funny: A Multiculty Comedy Show; and A Muslim, A Mormon, and A Jew Walk into A Bar: The Comedy of Religion. Partial proceeds from all of her comedy productions over the past 18 years have been donated to local as well as international charities. www.koshercomedy.com
At the end of 2002, Lisa met Esther Weintraub, a resident of The Jewish Home San Francisco and the subject of this film. The two embarked on a lifelong friendship.
That year, with some of Kung Pao Kosher Comedy’s proceeds, Lisa founded “The Comedy Clinic,” a bi-weekly comedy class for largely 70-90 year old residents at The Jewish Home.
Lisa recently formed a non-profit organization with which she will produce additional comedy events and films as well as bring comedy into more nursing homes and schools.
“Esther & Me” is her first film.
ADAM KENNEDY (Co-Producer, Editor) is a photographer, filmmaker, and editor from San Francisco, California. He is 18 years old and just graduated from Balboa High School where he was the Lead Editor for the school yearbook and was also the Production Manager of BAL-TV, Balboa's weekly school-wide broadcast station. Adam now attends San Francisco State University with a declared major in Cinema.
One of Adam's documentaries "Dump the Pump," a film about the overuse of petroleum gas, was screened at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth in Seattle, Washington.

The film, “Esther & Me,” is truly an intergenerational collaborative effort, with the subject being in her 80’s, the filmmaker in her 40’s, and the editor in his teens.
